Our commitment
Aether Technologies LLC wants more people, including people with disabilities, to be able to enjoy Hay Bales Heat. We welcome feedback about barriers in the game or on this website, and we use it to decide what to improve next.
In the game
The game includes separate volume settings for music, sound effects, and ambience under Settings → Sound. Availability and appearance can vary by app version and device.
Current limitations
Hay Bales Heat is a landscape game with animated scenes and timing-based controls, and some players may find the gameplay hard to access. We have not completed a comprehensive accessibility assessment. Specifically:
- We can’t yet confirm that every menu and team chat works with VoiceOver, TalkBack, Switch Control, or other assistive technology.
- Some text and controls use fixed sizes, so support for larger system text may be limited.
- Motion reduction is not consistent across the game.
- The game has not been verified for non-visual play or for every alternative input device.
These limitations reflect our current assessment, and we will update this page as features are evaluated and improved.
On this website
- Every interactive element can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline. A “Skip to content” link appears on the first Tab press.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the homepage mini-run, scrolling effects, and background video don’t start on their own. The mini-run waits for you to tap.
- Audio never plays until you press play, and only one soundtrack or trailer plays at a time.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives, and decorative art is hidden from screen readers.
- The trailer has spoken and on-screen content that is not yet captioned. A caption track is on our list.
How we approach improvements
We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA, guidance on applying WCAG to software, and established game-accessibility guidelines as references when reviewing menus, communication, text, controls, and visuals. These are references for improvement; we are not claiming conformance with them.
